There’s a cat on a ledge
and a smell in the freezer
a chubby Russian in the pool
with really skinny legs
We look at the watermark
Could it be a snake on my ceiling
or a church, a hand or a parade
making us wonder
You and your ex
Me at my best
Neither is worthy
To contemplate on long
So we talk of the suicidal cat
The watermark clouds on my ceiling
The misshaped Russian
And just hope this is love
